Training Evaluations
The training program associated with Targeting Transition is continually evaluated to make sure that when teachers leave the training program they are able to use the components of the program. To date, more than 4,000 transition teachers have participated in training. Data from training evaluations indicate the following about the Targeting Transition material and procedures:
- The transition needs survey is easy to use.
- The transition needs survey helps organize the IEP team process.
- The transition rubrics make writing measurable transition goals simpler.
- The transition activities are helpful in many situations.
- The portfolio tracking system organizes the transition process.
- Whole district training makes transition procedures more consistent.
After attending Targeting Transition training:
- Teachers are more motivated to focus on transition.
- Teachers are more confident in their abilities to meet transition needs of their students.
- Teachers are more able to meet the expectations of Indicator 13.
