Question: Does this program work for students who are identifying postsecondary goals for the 1st time AND for students who are updating their goals?
Answer: Yes, there are two versions of this program. One version is for students who are identifying postsecondary goals for the 1st time. The other version is for students who are updating their goals.
Question: Does this program work for students with limited or no direct instruction time?
Answer: Yes! This program is perfect for those situations because it requires minimal teacher-student interaction. Teachers should plan for having a 15 min. meeting with each student before and after the student's IEP meeting. We also recommend planning for some short “check-in” meetings with students during the year.
Question: What format is the STEP program available in?
Answer: The STEP program is available in editable PDF format, which can also be printed and completed by hand. Student packets will need to be stored on a local computer or storage device.
Ten Sigma does not store STEP program student responses.
Question: Is there a guarantee with the STEP program?
Answer: Yes, implement the STEP program for 1 calendar year with students and if a teacher feels the program did not increase student involvement and ownership in throughout the Transition process – they simply send us a completed copy of a student packet for a full refund.
